a colorful net playground in japan.
Awesome playhouse alert. Have you spotted this amazing net playground in Japan? Woods of Net is a permanent pavilion created by Japanese artist Toshiko Horiuchi Macadam and TIS & Partners - comprised solely of timber and netting…
The colors alone are amazing, but can you imagine how much fun your little one would have – climbing from net to net and soaring through the maze of mesh?
Fingers crossed Toshiko is working on an adult-friendly prototype. Or wait, aren’t those called hammocks?

Oooh, this would be so fun! Love the colors. This actually reminds me of an exhibit I saw a few years back at the Park Ave Armory, of Ernesto Neto. It wasn’t a net to play on, per se, but it was more tunnels and sensory things to play or lounge on. His stalactites were filled with spices (cloves, orange, hot peppers, etc.) It was so great, for kids and adults alike! some photos: http://www.armoryonpark.org/index.php/photo_gallery/slideshow/ernesto_neto_in_the_wade_thompson_drill_hall/
Oh that is AMAZING! Thanks for sharing, Michelle!
