a modern kids room.

One of my favorite bloggers, Jennifer Hagler (also owner of this lovely shop!) has created the loveliest room for her sweet son. Can’t you imagine a future art director sleeping in the following images?

a zany kids room.

How perfect is this kid’s space for a girl with loads of personality? With so many patterns, textures, colors and shapes, I’m imagining this to be a lovely spot for a future mini graphic or fashion designer…

my nursery // the big reveal.

I’m crazy excited to share the grand tour of the nursery today! For new readers and friends, my husband and I have been renovating a ranch in the midwest for a little over two years (you can follow the entire process on HGTV.com!), and the nursery used to be a spare room for ongoing projects, tools and miscellaneous storage. But with our little girl’s arrival just a short month away, we transformed the space in the nick of time! Enjoy a photo tour with peeks of details, sources and much, much more! (and don’t forget to check out the full video tour on Mom.Me!):

a modern boy’s room.

This sweet little boy, Paavo, is a lucky one indeed. What a bold, geometric (yet still surprisingly soothing!) bedroom!…

an effortless kids space.
Some of my favorite rooms are the ones that look effortlessly pulled together – no design plan, no measurements. Just pure personal style showcased in every color, pick and piece throughout the room. The kids’ space above reflects this thought perfect – full of style, but far from meticulously planned (which is a nice little recipe for a life well-lived, yes?).
Get details on the above kids’ room (plus other beautiful interior design images!) at Skona Hem.

paper doll bedding.
I’ve got a ways to go before it’s time to buy child’s bedding, but how adorable is this paper doll bedding for a little girl’s room? I’m in love!
Purchase this sweet little set for $73 at Rafa Kids.

the ultimate baby registry: nursery.
Baby registries can often look so convoluted – does a tiny baby really need that much stuff? And with a slew of showers coming up next month, I’m doing my best to register for the best basics – and little else. Naturally, I’ve been chatting with experts and real moms to help guide me in my own registry, and I thought it might be fun to share with you for those of you who are as confused as I am!
Over the next two weeks, I’ll be creating The Ultimate Registry – one step a time. Up today? The nursery (one of my favorite topics)! Here are a few of the best finds to build your baby’s happy little nest (and some surprising “essentials” you won’t need!):

a lego-inspired home.
Christoph Niemann loves Legos more than anyone else in the world (I’m pretty sure that’s the truth, at least), so it’s no wonder his home is perfectly Lego-inspired, right down to the bathroom tiles…

a scandinavian-inspired nursery.
By far, my favorite nurseries generally have a few common threads: bright white, exposed wood and plenty of patterns and textures. And after spotting Gabriel’s nursery (designed by Sissy + Marley) on Design*Sponge, I’m so enamored to find that this one has all three!
