Oh gracious. I’ve sat down to write this post 500 times, but still don’t feel like I’ve given myself enough time to process such an unreal event in my life. Birth is such a surreal experience – exhausting, exhilarating and so very rewarding. And I feel so grateful to say that Bee’s birth was everything I’d hoped for:
Hi all! Just a quick update to let you know that our sweet little Bee arrived last night! I can’t wait to share photos and the birth story when I get my bearings, but in the mean time, enjoy a few guest posts from my sweet blogger friends over the next few weeks and I’ll pop in to share updates as I get a chance! (Mama and baby are both healthy little horses!)
Thanks a million for the well wishes and sweet tweets. You guys are amazing!
psst: A huge thanks to the awesome Betsy King for the photo above. She documented our entire home birth in the most beautiful way – such a sweet gift!
Deep breaths here, friends. I’ve got just a handful of days before Bee’s anticipated arrival, and it’s starting to get scary real! I’ve already written about how terrified I felt at 38 weeks, but I wanted to share my latest Mom.me episode- the final chapter in my pregnancy story: Birthing Fears. (Click above to watch.)
Obviously, pain factors pretty high on my fear list, but I also talk about something larger…
At nearly 30 weeks, I changed my birth plan from a hospital delivery to a home birth. It was a decision I had never expected to make, but one that I am so crazy comfortable with after doing loads of research and finding a midwife that I trust 100%. I’ll be honest – changing your plan nearly 3/4 of the way through your pregnancy can be unnerving, but it was a must for me. I’m sharing my story in our latest Mom.me episode and would love to hear your stories, as well…
Happy Friday, friends! For all of you mama-to-bes, my next Mom.Me video is all about baby registry tips (click above to watch the episode)! I’ve shared the bulk of my registry here, but be sure to tune in to hear some great advice from my friends at Cool Mom Picks and Unclutterer. Happy registering!
Just popping in tonight to share with you our latest episode in my pregnancy story: Unnecessary Diagnostic Testing. This one’s a touchy subject for many, and I’d love to have you folks weigh in. How did you all choose which tests to accept and which to decline? Here’s our story…
Happy Friday, sweet friends – I hope you have fun plans this weekend! We’re putting the finishing touches on our nursery to film a big makeover on Mom.Menext week – I can’t wait to show you all! Speaking of Mom.Me, this week’s episode (below) is all about pregnancy style…
How is it possibly Friday already? Gracious! Here’s hoping you have exciting weekend plans ahead of you; I’ll be heading down south for my first baby shower (eek!) – I can’t believe our little one will be arriving in less than two months! Speaking of little ones, Episode 4 of my pregnancy video series on Mom.Me is live, and it’s all about healthy pregnancy nutrition, combatting cravings and my 80/20 rule!:
Happy 3-day weekend, friends! I’m crazy excited to indulge in a few typical Memorial Day festivities this weekend – pool parties, BBQs, garage sale hunting and more! But before I jet out, I wanted to leave you with Episode 3 of my pregnancy story on Mom.Me: Sharing the News. Find out how I spilled the beans to my family and friends (Hint: It wasn’t at all how I expected to!):
Hi friends! Hope you’re enjoying a week filled to the brim with The Ultimate Registry! I wanted to pop in to share a super honest post I wrote over on Babble Voices this week – Why I’m Not Having a Diagnostic Ultrasound.
Have any of you mamas had similar experiences, and how did you decide how to proceed? I’d love to hear your thoughts and advice – it’s all such unchartered territory!
