Our tiny family trio leaves for Singapore on Monday, so we’ve been preoccupied packing and re-packing and stuffing extra stickers into various pockets and compartments (you can never have enough stickers when you’re staring in the face of 28 hours of flying with a toddler, am I right?). I thought it might be fun to share a few of our traveling must-haves for Bee, just in case you’re planning your own summer adventure!:
I’ve got plane trips and car rides on the mind with the upcoming holidays (any of you going anywhere fun?), so today I rounded up 15 amazingly travel-friendly toys over at Babble. Speaking of traveling, my friend Laney has a fun (free!) “toy” that her kid LOVES on airplanes: “I save tiny cosmetic boxes from blush, powders and soaps all year long and then I flatten them all right before a plane trip. My 3-year-old loves to put them back together and then we hide tiny notes inside!” Super smart, right?
*I don’t usually re-post my writing from elsewhere, but I thought this might be a super helpful topic for those of you packing for a long Thanksgiving weekend!
p.s. Tube toys made the cut!
The dog days of summer mean popsicles, sprinkler runs and evening bike rides to the tune of crickets and frogs. Here are three of my favorite bike helmets to keep your wee ones safe all summer long!:
